Środa w play-off: Asseco Prokom i Zastal spotkają się w półfinale

Piąte spotkania ćwierćfinału play-off Tauron Basket Ligi przyniosły ogromne emocje! Asseco Prokom Gdynia pokonał AZS Koszalin 83:76, a Zastal Zielona Góra wygrał z Energą Czarnymi Słupsk 75:73. Zwycięskie ekipy zagrają już w niedzielę 6 maja w pierwszym spotkaniu półfinałowym.

The defending champions had some problems with winning with the eight team in Tauron Basket Liga. The team coached by Andrej Urlep was close to make a sensation. AZS was shooting very well from distance, but this element let them down in the last minutes. They were loosing only 70:74 after Kamil Łączyński’ five points in a row. Asseco Prokom managed to keep their advantage to the end. Jerel Blassingame had 23 points for the team from Gdynia. Piotr Pamuła shot 17 points for AZS.

The fans in Zielona Góra seen an amazing event. In the third quarter Zastal, playing without Kirk Archibeque, who was sick, was winning even by 15 points. Energa Czarni managed to get close. Two minutes to the end the team from Słupsk after Darnell Hinson’ shot was winning 70:69. Hinson could win the game for Energa Czarni but he missed a very important shot in the last seconds. Zastal had only three turnovers (the guest had 15). Kamil Chanas and Walter Hodge on the other end were effective on the free-throw line. The first one had 20 points and the second 24. Stanley Burrell shot 27 points for Energa Czarni.
