5. kolejka (1-6): Przełamanie Zastalu

Zastal Zielona Góra przełamał serię dwóch wyjazdowych porażek wygrywając przed własną publicznością z Energą Czarnymi Słupsk 83:75. Kibiców nie zawiódł Walter Hodge, który zdobył 21 punktów. W sobotę Asseco Prokom okazał się lepszy w derbach Trójmiasta i został nowym liderem Tauron Basket Ligi. Gdynianie pokonali Trefl Sopot 81:61.

It was not an easy game for Zastal. After loosing 10:19 in the third quarter, the team from Zielona Góra had to show their best basketball in the next part of the game. And they did. The team coached by Mihailo Uvalin started it by winning 14:0. Energa Czarni had problems with their offence and Zastal took advantage from that. They shot 22 points more and won the whole game. The team from Zielona Góra made less mistakes, rebounded better and had Walter Hodge, who did not miss the key free throws.  Five Zastal’s players shot 12 or more points. It was also an opportunity to debut for Thomas Mobley, who ended the game with three points. Darnell Hinson from Energa Czarni had a weak game – he had only two points.

Walter Hodge was the best player in Zastal’ team – he had 21 points and 8 assists. Stanley Burrel had 22 points and 6 assists for Energa Czarni.
