21. kolejka: Dwie dogrywki w Zgorzelcu

Dopiero po dwóch dogrywkach zespół PGE Turowa Zgorzelec obronił swoją szansę na pierwsze miejsce po rundzie zasadniczej Tauron Basket Ligi. Ważny mecz w Starogardzie wygrał także Asseco Prokom Gdynia. W piątek we Włocławku groźnej kontuzji doznał lider Energi Czarnych Cameron Bennerman.

After four quarters the score in Zgorzelec was tied 61:61, thanks to David Jackson, who made the final shot. With 25 seconds left in the first overtime PBG Basket was winning 67:64, but Torey Thomas managed to shoot a three in the last action. PGE Turów dominated in the second overtime, winning it 17:9. The team from Zgorzelec shot five three-pointers then (two made by Marko Brkić) and PBG Basket’s players were not so efficient. The best scorer for PGE Turów was Thomas, who had 22 points and 10 assists. Piotr Stelmach shot 20 points for the team from Poznań.

Anwil for three quarters had problems with playing with Energa Czarni - the game was very hard-fought. The last part of the game was better for the team from Włocławek, mainly because Chris Thomas’ great shooting efficiency. The American player was the key to Anwil’s victory. He had 19 points in the game and 13 only in the last quarter! Energa Czarni won the rebounds 46 to 30 (15 offensive rebounds) but it did not help them to win. The second best scorer for Anwil was Łukasz Majewski with 10 points and eight rebounds. The best player was in the team from Słupsk was Jerel Blassingame with 20 points and seven assists.
