Temporarily the team from Włocławek will be led by assistant coach Krzysztof Szablowski. Both Griszczuk and Szablowski worked with Polish National Team last summer, but their contracts with Polish Basketball Federation were not extended. Szablowski is the coach of Anwil's junior team too.
Griszczuk, 47, is the biggest star in Włocławek's history. He played in the club from 1991 to 2002, winning five silver medals in Poland. He is the former coach of Energa Czarni Słupsk (bronze medal in 2006) and he worked for Anwil as head coach since October 13th, 2008, when he had replaced Zmago Sagadin. He won bronze medal in Poland in 2009 and silver in 2010. He coached Anwil in 84 games in Polish League and EuroCup, winning 55.
