Trefl wygrał z Asseco Prokomem 83:57 w trzecim meczu finału Tauron Basket Ligi. To pierwsze zwycięstwo sopocian w tej serii i w ogóle w historii rywalizacji z zespołem z Gdyni. Najlepszym zawodnikiem gospodarzy był John Turek, który zdobył 18 punktów i 9 zbiórek. Mecz numer 4 już w czwartek 31 maja o godz. 18 w Sopocie.

Trefl Sopot – Asseco Prokom Gdynia 83:57 (1:2)

Trefl was a better team on their own court and for the first time in history won with the team from Gdynia. The hosts started with good defence – after three minutes they were winning 6:0. After that Asseco Prokom shot couple of points, but Trefl controlled the situation from the beginning. After a three made by Jermaine Mallett and points by Vonteego Cummings the team from Sopot was ahead 26:12. As it appeared the first quarter was crucial for the rest of the game. The team from Gdynia could not get close to the rivals. It was a weaker game for the leaders of Asseco Prokom – Jerel Blassingame and Donatas Motiejunas. Two and one actions made by Łukasz Koszarek and Filip Dylewicz helped their team to get ahead even 65:34. Five Trefl players had a double digit score – the also had advantage in rebounds, especially offensive ones.

The best player on the court was John Turek from Trefl, who had 18 points and 9 rebounds. Donatas Motiejunas shot 11 points for Asseco Prokom.
