Wtorek w play-off: Mistrz krok od finału

Asseco Prokom Gdynia pokonał Zastal Zielona Góra 88:67 w drugim półfinałowym meczu play-off Tauron Basket Ligi. Mistrzowie prowadzą już w serii 2:0 i są o jedną wygraną od awansu do wielkiego finału. Mecz numer 3 w Zielonej Górze w piątek 11 maja.

There were no big emotions in the second semifinal game. Asseco Prokom started the game great, by winning 7:0. After Jerel Blassingame’s free-throws it was even 19:8. The hosts improved their defence a lot and were very effective in the key element – three-pointers. In the second quarter, after long distance shots made by Przemysław Frasunkiewicz and Fiodor Dmitriew Asseco Prokom was winning 47:27. The team coached by Andrzej Adamek shot 58 points and 10 threes in the first half. Blassingame in 15 minutes on the court had a double-double – 10 points and 10 assists. In the next parts of the game Zastal tried to get close, but the hosts were controlling the score. In the defending champions team 11 players were on the court and everyone scored. They had 24 assists (Zastal only 11).

The best player on the court was Donatas Motiejunas with 21 points. Jerel Blassingame had 12 points and 14 assists. Walter Hodge shot 26 points for Zastal.
