3rd round: Energa Czarni’s first win

Energa Czarni Słupsk won for the first time in Tauron Basket Liga – they beat Rosa Radom 94:84. The best shooter was Levi Knutson with 18 points. On Saturday AZS Koszalin beat Trefl Sopot 88:86.

Energa Czarni won for the first time this season and Rosa has to still wait for their first victory. It was a very close game. The beginning was better for the team from Radom – after Slavisa Bogavac’ shot they were winning 16:10. Later, the team from Słupsk started to gain advantage. Oded Brandwein shot a three and they were ahead 32:29 in the second quarter. Rosa tried to get close and they’ve made it – in the third part of the game. Energa Czarni were more efficient in the key minutes and they won the whole game eventually.

The best scorer in the team from Słupsk was Levi Knutson with 18 points. J.J. Montgomery had 24 points and 11 rebounds for Rosa.

Trefl Sopot was winning in Koszalin with AZS even 30:15, but in the end the hosts were celebrating the victory. In the second quarter after Robert Skibniewski’ shot AZS was ahead 42:40. The Polish playmaker was also the hero of the last action – 12 second to the end he managed to end the key action. Seven players from Teo Cizmić team scored 10 or more points. AZS had also 10 more points from free-throws.

Michael Kuebler had 14 points for AZS. Frank Turner was the leading player in Trefl with 19 points and 5 assists.
